walking in a winter wonderland

There is a Target commercial with a very catchy version of the Christmas song in my title and Matt and I just sang the same part. It's one of those awkward, face-palm moments, but I'm going with it. I had quite the productive day. I purchased supplies to print photos, make Christmas cards, and ship them out safely in cushioned mailers. I have Matt's presents all ordered and on their way. Only one may not make it in time, but that's okay. My mom accidentally shrunk Matt's scarf so I'm knitting him a new one with the yarn pictured above. It's very soft, chunky yarn. I love how quickly the length shows when you have a very thick yarn. I've come to enjoy bamboo needles, but I didn't have any 11s available and didn't buy 13s (the recommended) so I'm using my magenta aluminum needles, which are actually pretty good, too. My second favorite needle material. I read quite a bit today and wrote, from beginning to end, a very, very short story. A little bit less than three pages. Something short was just what I needed after National Novel Writing Month.
