I have been trying to update more. I hope that is noticeable. Mostly, it's a way for me to stay connected to my dear friend, Laura. I miss that girl a ton! Last time she was in town, she brought her roommates. Matt and I joined her family for dinner. We relaxed, watched tv, walked her dog around the neighborhood to show her roommates and the house she grew up in. I get to see her at the end of October for a birthday blow-out extravaganza. I. Can't. Wait. During our once in a while G-Chat updates, she told me that she checks two blogs religiously: both of mine and a beauty/lifestyle blog that I cannot for the life of me recall [Laura, help a girl out!] She's in Spain for work, but I think it's amazing. She's awesome.
Anyhow, nothing has been really going on in my life. Matt enjoyed the series finale of Breaking Bad, but he almost broke my hand at one point. I seriously had to pry his fingers off of my hand. I was deaf to what was occurring on Breaking Bad because I had my headphones on, catching up furiously on Netflix. People seem satisfied with the ending. Matt was. I was afraid that it was going to be a disappointment, like I hear Dexter was, which makes me sad.
I've been doing nothing but working, writing, photographing, and watching Breaking Bad. Oh, I started knitting again. It's getting cooler (although this week it's supposed to warm up, grr!) so I know Brian will need scarves to give to the homeless people he works with. I'm happy that I learned this skill to help others, but it's also a useful skill to have.
I'm sharing a playlist with you guys today. I can't really take credit for it. Sometimes, iTunes Genius playlists can come up with some pretty amazing stuff. This one is based off of Beach House's "Wishes". Thoroughly enjoying it with my tea as I write this post.
A while ago, I saw this on Pinterest from someone I followed for Blog Tips. I felt like it was mean spirited and stupid. I think blogging should be about creating your own space where you shouldn't have to feel expected to live up to some bullshit rules created by bitter people. Let's keep things positive, folks. I also think the jab at the ABM App is childish and possibly exhibits a little blogger jealousy that I've seen become common these days, which is sad. Do what you do and just enjoy others' content without wanting to covet their life. You'll be a lot better off when you stop comparing apples to oranges. Also, if you don't like how someone runs their blog, just stop following. [steps down from soapbox] I just think if you want to share music with your readers and they choose not to listen, it's fine. I just like spreading my love for music.
