I relied a lot on my phone in Chicago. It's more compact than my big ol' DSLR and a lot easier to take sneaky snaps of things. The apps I used for the photos in this post are: A Beautiful Mess, Afterlight, and Diptic. These are the main apps that I use for my photographs, as well as VSCOCAM app for the black and white. Enough about the technical aspects of my photographs. Onto more about my sorta spontaneous mini-vacation.
A while ago, Laura asked if I wanted to go down to visit and see the Shins. I've never seen the Shins live so cross them off of my list of bands to see live! I can't even explain how good "Sleep Lessons" was. I enjoyed myself, despite the intense heat! Laura was housesitting this amazing place. We ate deep dish pizza on a rooftop. We drove down Lake Shore Drive. We sat outside until almost 2AM last night, just talking and laughing. I told Laura that although I was sad the trip was short, it was a really great trip! More photos from my NIKON coming soon. Here are the rest of the photos from my phone. Follow my Instagram.
