roll with the punches

Today was just awful. I was in the worst mood. I am sick of the way things are done with all of the passive aggressive bullshit games that people play. PLEASE. We are all adults. Stop acting immature. I'm appreciative of the people that I have around that allow me to rant and those who make me laugh. The laughter distracts from the irritation I feel. It also helps getting a tasty refresher after my shift. Nom, very berry hibiscus. Connor asked me for a music recommendation. While my head was screaming,"BLOOM! BLOOM! BLOOOOOM!" I went with Dr Dog's Be the Void. I was obsessed with that before Bloom so it's only fitting.

I love having book conversations. Last week, my co-worker Emma asked me for some recommendations and she ended up buying The Virgin Suicides. She's been trying to work through the classics, but she wanted something that would move quickly. Matt asked me if I've read Wild, which I actually reviewed here. It was my staff recommendation for two whole days before Oprah announced her Book Club 2.0. Ugh, so mine had to be taken down. Damn you, Oprah. Damn you. I hope that when I hang with Mary tomorrow, she asks what I am reading. Last time, she did and I was reading the book pictured above. I'm nearly done with it, but I've started Joe Meno's Office Girl. Ahhh! So good. Sometimes you need a break from non-fiction. It's weird because I used to only exclusively read fiction, but I've found some wonderful books that have reeled me in.
