an old friend

Trying to find index cards in Jessica's desk, I came across an old friend: my very first Nikon, a Nikon Coolpix 4600. I loved this camera. It's so crazy how I used to carry this tiny thing with me all the time. I shot with it from 2005-2007, when I got my first Nikon DSLR. I sold it to Jess and have since only had DSLRs. It was fun to play around with it today. I'm so surprised it still works! I don't know why I thought it wouldn't, but it just seems insane that this camera has been in use for six years and it still works. Nikon sure makes a durable camera, too. I'd have it in a little purse, throwing that purse around and whatnot. I thought I would have a little fun and take a few photos with it today. The light was pretty with the dark clouds in the background today. Apparently, there was a waterspout off of Lake Michigan. Insane! I asked my mom why she didn't call me to turn on the news. She never gave me a real reason why. I missed the waterspout!

  1. Nikon does make a great camera! Thus the reason that I bought my Nikon D-7000 DSLR! It seems you never get a bad shot with a Nikon! These are some great shots.
