working backwards

For some reason, I enjoy entering my entry information backwards. I'll put down what song I'm listening to at the moment first, then I put in the codes for my photos. After that, I type up my entry. After all of that, I put the title in base on what my entry was about. Random facts! Haha. It stormed a lot yesterday. I guess that's what I get for hoping for nice weather. Most of the day was not bad at all. In the afternoon was when things got a little bit crazy. However, there was enough of a break for Jess and I to pick up our new table! Our place feels like a real home now. The kitchen just wasn't good for hanging around in. We quickly remedied that. (Pictures of that towards the end of the entry)

This picture that I'm about to post is from Monday night. I couldn't stop laughing at the fact that Kirsten was eating ice cream and reading the People magazine issue with girls in bikinis. I thought it was awesome. She didn't think I was really going to take a picture of her.

ice cream!

So, last night, in the middle of storms and all, Jess, her mom, and I made fajitas! Well, actually, they were more focused on the fajita part. I had a hand in the dessert department and boy, did that turn out tasty! I love the America's Test Kitchen cookbooks. I have both the Baking Cookbook and the Family Cookbook. Both were used for inspiration. Everything was so tasty. The guacamole was so fresh and tasty with blue corn chips. I made black bottom cupcakes, which were basically like mini cheesecakes with chocolate chips in them. Delicious! I wonder how they taste cold? Probably amazing!

Also, since I was talking about crazy weather before, there was a ridiculous amount of fog yesterday morning. I could hardly see in front of me when I was taking my mom to work. It was insane!

  1. Oh man, that avocado and those cupcakes look amazing. My roommate has a recipe for chocolate vegan cake with avocado frosting, but we haven't tried it yet.

    Someday!
